Show to promote Assam tea in London

Nehru Centre, the cultural wing of the Indian High Commission in London, is organising a show to promote Assam tea in the UK.

'The Gateway of India's North East' on June 14 will showcase the tremendous economic potential in the region and how to tap it.

In the panel discussion on 'the role of India's North - East in Global development', speakers will emphasise on infrastructure, investment, economy and ethnicity connected with the state and how these could be opened up for investors, a release said.

The centre in association with India Tea Board will promote Assam tea during the show.
 

The interactive session will be graced by Simon Hughes, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats, and Sukhdev Singh Sidhu, Minister Coordination, UK India High Commission.
