After prolonged deficiency in rainfall since June 1, continuous rains at many places in the State during the last couple of days have brought cheers to farmers and others.
The rainfall deficiency was up to 33 per cent as on July 26, but it came down to 21 per cent till July 29 (since June 1), the Meteorological Centre in Hyderabad, said Monday.
As on Monday, the actual rainfall was 275 mm since June 1, against the normal rainfall of 350.7 mm, a departure of -21 per cent.
In its forecast from 0830 hours of July 30 to 0830 hours of July 31, the Met Centre said light to moderate rain on thunder showers are very likely to occur at most places over Telangana.
It warned that heavy to very heavy rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana.
