The movie has a striking similarity to a real life case in which imposters posing as CBI officers extorted money from well known personalities.

It is scheduled to be released on February 8 and a special screening will be held before that day.

"We would be more than happy to show the film to CBI. We have been in conversation with Mumbai branch for almost two months now and are also running an awareness campaign against bogus CBI," Film's director Neeraj Pandey said.

The movie produced by Viacom 18 revolves around a gang in the 1980s which robbed people posing as CBI and Income Tax officers and decamped with blackmoney stashed by them.

CBI also cracked a similar case last year where imposters posing as senior agency officials extorted huge amount of money from well known Bollywood personalities and businessmen.
