Kapal Mochan shrine, where rituals connected to deaths of unmarried children are performed, was closed at the peak of militancy in the Valley in the 90's.

Located at Digam village in Shopian belt of South Kashmir, the shrine will see ancient rituals like 'Abhishek' and 'Shudikaran' of Kapilashwar lingam being performed beginning from tomorrow.

"The shrine is being revived after two decades. Ancient rituals, including a 'maha yagh', will be performed to observe Shravan Shuklapaksh Dashmi tomorrow," Rohit Lahori, senior Member of Kapal Mochan organising Committee, said.
