Shriram Transport Finance Company today reported a 20 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 448.68 crore in the first quarter ended June 30.
Its net profit in the April-June quarter of 2016-17 stood at Rs 374.10 crore.
Earnings per share (basic) of the company for the quarter ended June 2017 rose by 19.95 per cent to Rs 19.78 from Rs 16.49 in the similar period of previous fiscal 2016-17, a company statement said.

Assets under management (AUM) as on June 30, 2107 was at Rs 81,611.95 crore, up from Rs 74,808.46 crore in same period previous fiscal.
Stock of the company closed 5 per cent higher at Rs 1018.20 on BSE.
