Riding high on the success of his latest film "Shubh Mangal Saavdhan", director RS Prasanna said he was keen to take the story forward with a sequel.

The film, which featured Ayushamann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles, took on the subject of erectile dysfunction.

Prasanna said he had already discussed an idea with producer Aanand L Rai regarding the film's follow-up.

"We already had a story but we were waiting for the audience's reaction if they wanted to listen to the next story," the director told reporters at the success party of the film here.

Prasanna said the sequel would retain the same cast.

"The feedback we got was positive. So a sequel will definitely happen, but we don't know when exactly it is going to happen.

"When I was making the Tamil version then I had thought of an idea for the sequel. I think It will be a lot of fun, but it is only an idea as of now. There is no script, so it will take time," the filmmaker said.

Ayushmann, who was also present at the event, said it would be amazing to have a sequel to "Shubh Mangal Saavdhan".

"But the problem is, what will be the 'problem' of part two since it already got solved in the first one... We are looking for a plot line. It is a quirky plot and we want to explore it more.
