Boys top seed Siddhant Bhavnani of Mumbai and girl second seed Sanya Singh of Pune clinched the respective singles titles with straight-set victories in the Parsram J Vazirani Memorial All India Junior Open Talent Series tennis tournament today.

Bhavnani cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 win to end the giant-killing campaign of seventh seed Oum Parikh of Ahmedabad, after rallying from a 0-2 deficit in the opening set, while dominating the second at the Vazirani Academy in Navi Mumbai.

Under-10 Maharashtra champion Sanya Singh celebrated her debut year in the under-12 category with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-3 win over third seeded state rival Akanksha Nitture.

Sanya rallied from a 1-3 deficit in the opening set and earned four crucial breaks, while being broken twice, to take away the set in a tight finish.

"I was happy with my serves and volleys and made fewer mistakes than Akanksha. I was hitting the ball well and was able to break her at the right time," said Sanya.

Aditya Sriram and Abhishek Mangle of Pune won the doubles title following an exciting 4-2, 1-4, 7-1 win over Kapeesh Khandge of Pune and Oum Parikh after a third set tie-breaker finish.
