South actor Siddharth, best remembered for his intense performance in 'Rang De Basanti', is venturing into the comedy zone for the first time with David Dhawan's upcoming film 'Chashme Baddoor'.
The 33-year-old played the role of Karan Singhania in the 2006 movie, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and later appeared in 2010 Bollywood movie 'Striker' which bombed at the box office.
Now he will appear in the remake of thje 1981 classic, which starred Dipti Naval and Farooq Sheikh.
The new installment will also see Pakistani actor-singer Ali Zafar and Divyendu Sharma of 'Pyaar Ka Punchnama' fame playing lead roles.
South siren Tapasee will be making her Bollywood debut with this film, which will hit cinema houses on April 5.
Siddharth was last seen in acclaimed director Deepa Mehta's latest film 'Midnight's Children'.
