Siemens Gamesa RE bags turbine order from Orsted

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy on Wednesday said it has been selected by rsted as the preferred turbine supplier for two of its offshore wind power projects in the German North Sea totaling 1.142 GW.

At both the 900 MW Borkum Riffgrund 3 and the 242 MW Gode Wind 3 sites, Siemens Gamesa will deploy its new SG 11.0-200 DD offshore wind turbine, the company said in a statement.

"The award of the contract is subject to certain conditions including rsted's final investment decision, which itself is subject to the projects receiving final grid dates and final consents from German authorities," the company said.

Jabra unveils Elite Active 75t, to add 2 new features *

Communications products maker Jabra on Wednesday said it will add two new features - optimising audio experience based on the user's hearing profile and offer controls from one bud - on its Jabra Elite 75t range of earbuds.

The company, which had launched its Elite 75t in December, on Wednesday unveiled the Elite Active 75t targeted at users with more active lifestyles. It will be priced at Rs 16,999.

"Like the original, the Active version brings the same great calls and music that is now expected from Jabra but is optimised for work-out and fitness use. The Active edition is enhanced for durability," Jabra Country Marketing Manager India and SAARC Amitesh Punhani said.

He added that from the second quarter of 2020, Jabra will introduce a new software experience, Jabra MySound.
