Siemens Ltd's today posted a 12-fold surge in standalone net profit at Rs 168.25 crore for the quarter ended June 30, due to operational excellence.
The company's net profit was Rs 12.99 crore in the quarter ended on June 30, 2014, Siemens said in a BSE filing today.
"Order inflows in our energy business have not yet picked up. Our continued focus on operational excellence is reflected in our improved profitability," Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd Sunil Mathur said.

During the quarter under review, the company registered new orders of Rs 2,234.08 crore compared with Rs 2,732.09 crore in the same period last year.
The company's sales were steady at Rs 2,322.01 crore in the quarter compared with Rs 2,318.74 crore in same period last year.
Share of the company closed at Rs 1,495.55 up 1.27 per cent at BSE.
