Sierra Leone's Vice President Samuel Sam-Sumana has been expelled from the ruling party, the national broadcaster has reported.
Yesterday's announcement came as Sam-Sumana was one week into a self-imposed 3-week quarantine, following the death of one of his body guards of Ebola. The broadcaster reported that according to the constitution Sumana remains vice president of the country.
The Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation made the announcement late yesterday after a meeting of the National Advisory Council of the ruling party, the All Peoples Congress.
