Sikh organisations take out protest march in support of Khalsa

Various Sikh organisations today took out a march here in support of Gurubaksh Singh Khalsa, who has been sitting on a fast for last 41 days demanding the release of Sikh prisoners lodged in various jails even after completing their conviction period.

They started the march from Gurudwara Manji Sahib in Ambala City and later submitted a memorandum to Additional Deputy Commissioner Aurbind Sharma, in which they demanded the release of the Sikh prisoners.

They said in the memorandum that around half a dozen Sikh youths were lodged in various jails of Punjab, Chandigarh and other states.

The members of Gurudwara Manji Sahib, Gurudwara Baba Zorawar Singh, Gurudwara Banda Singh Bahadur Sadhura, Gurudwara Peer Budh Shah Sadhura, Gurudwara Singh Sabha Sadhura, Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Jatha and Nirwar Khalsa Dal were present in the procession.
