The activists of the Jammu and Kashmir Unit of Sikh Students Federation (SSF) held a protest here at the Residency Road here against Nayar's book.

The outfit threatened a nationwide agitation if the book was not banned by the government.

"The government should impose an immediate ban on the book," demanded SSF president Harjit Singh.

Radical Sikh outfits are protesting against the veteran journalist's autobiography 'Beyond the Lines' which terms Sikh militant leader Jarnail Singh Bhindrawale as a creation of Congress.

The book's allegation that Sikh Student's Federation president Bhai Amrik Singh, who died during Operation Blue Star in June 1984, was an "IB agent" has also earned the ire of radical Sikh outfits like Dal Khalsa.
