Taking weak cues from overseas markets, silver prices fell by Rs 139 to Rs 36,033 per kg in futures trade today.

In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December was trading lower by Rs 139, or 0.38%, at Rs 36,033 per kg in a business turnover of 581 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in far-month March next year declined by Rs 126, or 0.34%, to Rs 36,780 per kg in a business volume of 2 lots.

In the international market, silver fell 0.03% to $15.21 an ounce in Singapore today.

Traders said the fall in silver prices was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals at global markets.
