Press Trust of India New Delhi
Silver prices tumbled Rs 182 to Rs 46,415 per kg in futures trade today as participants reduced exposure, tracking weakness in global markets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March next year lost Rs 182 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 46,415 per kg, in a business turnover of 11 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in December was trading lower by Rs 165, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 45,473 per kg in a business volume of 519 lots.

In the international market, silver slumped 0.61 per cent to USD 18.84 an ounce in Singapore today.

Traders said the fall in silver prices at futures trade was largely in line with a weak trend in precious metals in global markets as investors awaited policy meetings from the US Federal Reserve and Bank of Japan next week.
