Silver traded up Rs 269 at Rs 41,156 per kg in futures trading today as participants indulged in enlarging positions amid a firm trend in precious metals overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March was up by Rs 269, or 0.66 per cent, at Rs 41,156 per kg in a business turnover of 351 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in far-month May gained Rs 248, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 41,731 per kg in 1 lot.
