Press Trust of India New Delhi
Tracking a weak trend overseas, silver prices fell Rs 103 to Rs 35,761 per kg in futures trade today as speculators engaged in off-loading positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December contracts lost Rs 103, or 0.29%, to Rs 35,761 per kg, with a turnover of 119 lots.

Also, the white metal for delivery in September was trading at Rs 94, or 0.27% down at Rs 34,284 per kg in business turnover of 267 lots.

Marketmen said a weak trend in global markets as investors weighed comments from Federal Reserve officials reflecting on a potential interest rate increase in the US, mainly kept pressure on silver futures here.

Globally, silver dropped 0.3% to $14.55 an ounce in Singapore today.
