Silver prices fell by Rs 101 to Rs 36,005 per kg in futures trade today after participants trimmed positions, taking negative cues from overseas markets.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July fell by Rs 101, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 376,005 per kg in a business turnover of 14,515 lots.
Likewise, the metal for delivery in September contracts eased by Rs 99, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 36,519 per kg in 2,742 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators in tandem with a weak global trend mainly led to decline in silver prices in futures trade.
Globally, silver declined 0.5 per cent to USD 15.78 an ounce in Singapore.
