Silver futures edge up by 0.09% in thin trade

Silver prices edged higher by 0.09 per cent to Rs 38,821 per kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July rose by Rs 33, or 0.09 per cent to Rs 38,821 per kg in business turnover of 31 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May was trading higher by Rs 28, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 38,254 per kg in 1,024 lots.

Traders attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to fresh positions built up by traders.
