Silver prices were higher by 0.26 per cent to Rs 36,655 per kg in futures market today as participants built up positions, triggered by a firm global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May month moved up by Rs 95, or 0.26 per cent to Rs 36,655 per kg in business turnover of 7169 lots.
Likewise, the white metal for delivery in far-month July was trading higher by Rs 45, or 0.12 per cent to Rs 37,110 per kg in 160 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders in tandem with a firm global trend mainly led to rise in silver prices at futures trade.
Globally, silver gained 0.1 per cent to USD 15.38 an ounce in London.
