Silver futures fall 0.04% on global cues

Tracking a weak trend overseas,

silver prices moved down by 0.04 per cent to Rs 39,560 per kg in futures market today as speculators cut down their bets.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July fell by Rs 16 or 0.04 per cent to Rs 39,560 per kg in business turnover of 788 0lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in silver in futures trade to off-loading of positions by participants in tandem with a subdued trend overseas.

Globally, silver fell 0.18 per cent to USD 16.36 an ounce in Singapore today.
