Silver prices fell by 0.19% to Rs 41,715 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed their exposure amid a weak trend in global markets.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 80 or 0.19% to Rs 41,715 per kg in a business turnover of 315 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in far-month September declined by Rs 77 or 0.18% to Rs 42,470 per kg in a business volume of 2 lots.

In the international market, silver fell 0.03% to $17.47 an ounce in Singapore.

Analysts attributed the fall in silver in futures trade to a weak trend in the precious metals in global markets.
