Silver down 0.6% on profit-booking

Metal for delivery in May month declined by 0.43%

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Silver futures prices today fell by Rs 213, to trade at Rs 37,585 per kg as speculators locked-in gains at prevailing levels even as metal strengthened overseas.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March traded lower by Rs 213, or 0.56%, to Rs 37,585 per kg in a business turnover of 470 lots.

Similarly, the precious metal for delivery in May month declined by Rs 164, or 0.43%, to Rs 37,742 per kg in business volume of seven lots.

In Singapore, silver added 0.4% at $17.06 an ounce in Singapore.

Market analysts attributed fall in silver prices at futures trade to profit-booking by speculators at current prices but a firming trend overseas, limited the losses.
