Silver prices were trading down by Rs 76 to Rs 39,190 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut their holdings at current levels.
Silver for delivery in December was trading lower by Rs 76, or 0.19 per cent, at Rs 39,190 per kg in a business turnover of 458 lots in futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in December shed Rs 67, or 0.17 per cent, at Rs 39,875 per kg with a business turnover of 35 lots.

In the international market, silver rose 0.06 per cent at USD 17 an ounce in Singapore today.
Market analysts said, trimming of positions by speculators to book profits at current levels and a weak trend overseas, mainly led to a fall in silver prices at futures trade here.
