Taking positive cues from overseas markets, silver prices on Tuesday jumped Rs 381 to Rs 45,376 per kg in futures trade.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery gained Rs 381, or 0.85 per cent, to Rs 45,376 per kg in 2,555 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 391, or 0.86 per cent, at Rs 45,876 per kg in 23 lots.
Traders said fresh bets by participants in line with a firm trend in global markets mainly led to rise in silver futures.
In the international market, silver was quoting 1.11 per cent higher at USD 16.93 an ounce in New York.
