Silver prices on Thursday rose 0.21 per cent to Rs 43,230 per kg in futures trade as participants widened their bets amid a firm trend in overseas market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery gained Rs 91, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 43,230 per kg in 3,794 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 4, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 43,351 per kg in 729 lots.
