Silver futures rise 0.3% on overseas cues

Enlarging of positions by speculators amid positive cues from global markets mainly kept silver prices higher

Silver prices moved up by 0.35% to Rs 38,505 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March went up by Rs 134, or 0.35%, to Rs 38,505 per kg in a business turnover of 358 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in May gained Rs 135, or 0.35%, to Rs 38,800 per kg in two lots.

Analysts said enlarging of positions by speculators amid positive cues from global markets mainly kept silver prices higher at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver rose 0.5% to $17.45 an ounce in Singapore.
