Silver prices on Thursday fell Rs 12 to Rs 46,646 per kg as participants reduced their exposure on low demand in spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver to be delivered in December contracts was trading lower by Rs 12, or 0.03 per cent, to Rs 46,646 per kg in a business turnover of 2,048 lots.
Similarly, the white metal for delivery in March was down by Rs 27, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 46,290 per kg in 64 lots.
Analysts attributed the weakness in silver futures to cutting down of positions by participants to book profits at current levels.
Meanwhile, silver was trading almost flat at USD 17.60 an ounce in New York.
