Silver futures traded higher by 0.1 per cent to Rs 37,563 per kg Friday after speculators raised bets, driven by a firm trend overseas.
Silver for delivery in March rose by Rs 38, or 0.1 per cent, to Rs 37,563 per kg in a business turnover of 20,720 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
In a similar manner, the white metal to be delivered in May, too, climbed by Rs 31, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 38,100 per kg in 1022 lots.
Analysts said widening of positions by traders in sync with a firm trend in global markets for precious metals, influenced silver prices at futures trade here.
In the international market, silver traded higher by 0.14 per cent at USD 14.77 an ounce in Singapore Friday.
