Taking positive cues from global market, silver prices rose Rs 215 to Rs 43,594 per kg in futures trade today as speculators widened their positions.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December surged by Rs 215 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 43,594 per kg in a business turnover of 53 lots.
The white metal for delivery in March next year was trading higher by Rs 190 or 0.43 per cent to Rs 44,200 per kg in one lot.

Marketmen said speculative positions built up by participants, driven by firm global trend, mainly attributed to the rise in silver prices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile, silver traded 0.46 per cent higher at USD 18.54 an ounce in Singapore.
