Press Trust of India New Delhi
Silver prices were up by Rs 274 to Rs 36,300 per kg in futures trade today after participants raised their bets amid firming global trends.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month July was up by Rs 274, or 0.76% to Rs 36,300 per kg in a business turnover of 7 lots.

Similarly, the white metal for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 256 or 0.72% to Rs 35,837 per kg in business volume of 359 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metals overseas as dollar's safe-haven appeal weakened.

Globally, silver traded 1.17% higher at $15.08 an ounce in Singapore today.
