Silver prices rose 0.37 per cent to Rs 40,748 per kg in futures trade today largely in tune with a firm trend in global market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 150, or 0.37 per cent, to Rs 40,748 per kg in a business turnover of 393 lots.
Also, the white metal for delivery in July rose by Rs 137, or 0.33 per cent to Rs 41,228 per kg in 32 lots.

In the international market, silver traded higher at USD 17.65 an ounce in New York yesterday.
Market analysts said a firming trend in the global market, mainly influenced silver futures here.
