Taking positive cues from overseas market, silver prices rose by 0.53 per cent to Rs 39,378 per kg in futures trade today as speculators enlarged positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver prices for delivery in far-month December contracts were up by Rs 209, or 0.53 per cent, to trade at Rs 39,378 per kg in business turnover of 6,288 lots.

Globally, silver climbed 0.91 per cent to USD 17.66 an ounce in New York in yesterday's trade.
