Silver prices moved up by 0.82 per cent to Rs 44,900 per kg in futures trade today after investors created positions largely driven by a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December moved up by Rs 364, or 0.82 per cent, to Rs 44,900 per kg in business turnover of 140 lots.
On the similar lines, the white metal for delivery in September rose by Rs 311, or 0.71 per cent, to 44,097 per kg in 4,725 lots.
