Silver futures up Rs 51 aided by global cues

Taking positive cues from the global market, silver prices rose by Rs 51 to Rs 39,162 per kg in futures trade today.

At the Multi-Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in July was trading higher by Rs 51, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 39,162 per kg in a business turnover of 336 lots.

Also, the white metal for delivery in far-month September rose Rs 40, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 39,607 per kg in one lot.

In the international market, silver gained 0.12 per cent to USD 16.85 an ounce in Singapore.

Market analysts said a firming trend in global market influenced the silver prices at futures trade here.
