Silver futures up Rs 63 aided by global cues

Silver prices rose by Rs 63 to Rs 38,788 per kg in futures trade today on speculative buying influenced by firm global prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December was trading higher by Rs 63, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 38,788 per kg, in a business turnover of 1 lot.

Also, the white metal for delivery in September rose by Rs 34, or 0.09 per cent, to Rs 38,120 per kg in 270 lots.

In the international market, silver traded higher at USD 16.57 an ounce in Singapore.

Market analysts said a firming trend in the precious metals in global market, mainly supported the upside in silver prices at futures trade.
