Tracking a firming trend overses, silver prices were higher by Rs 482 to Rs 47,962 per kg in futures trade today as speculators widened their bets.
In futures trading at the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September was trading higher by Rs 482, or 1.02 per cent, to Rs 47,962 per kg, in a business turnover of 1,928 lots.
The white metal for delivery in far-month December surged by Rs 468, or 0.96 per cent, to Rs 49,070 per kg in 75 lots.
