Silver and gold articles worth more than Rs 1.5 lakh were today found stolen from the Vellimalayandi temple near Melur, 30 km from here, police said.
Police said robbers had broken the steel lock of the temple using a stone and stole gold jewels weighing six sovereigns and silver insignia besides robbing the hundi.
