Taking positive cues from overseas markets, silver prices rose by 0.48% to Rs 33,724 per kg in futures trading today as participants increased their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in December rose by Rs 162, or 0.48%, to Rs 33,724 per kg in a business turnover of 303 lots.
On similar lines, the white metal for delivery in far-month March next year traded higher by Rs 142, or 0.41%, to Rs 34,415 per kg in eight lots.
