Silver futures traded 0.27 per cent higher at Rs 36,331 per kg today as participants created fresh speculative positions positions amid gains in global markets.
In futures trade, silver for delivery in far-month July was up by Rs 97 or 0.27 per cent, to Rs 36,331 per kg in a business volume of 186 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.
Also, the white metal for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 92 or 0.26 per cent to Rs 35,883 per kg in 1,127 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators in tune with gains in bullion in global markets, mainly influenced silver prices in futures trade here.
Meanwhile, silver increased 0.6 per cent to USD 15.89 announce in early trade in London today.
