He said that all necessary arrangements for boarding and lodging of the players would be made well in advance.
A Police Sports Control Room would be established to coordinate among the organisers and participating teams round the clock, he said.
Giving further details, Rajindra disclosed that 1500 men and 300 women players would take part in different disciplines of six-day long Inter Battalion Tournament.
800 sports person, including 200 women players, are participating in the Inter Zone Tournament representing all wings of the Organization, he said adding that Main venue of the tournaments would be Police Sports Stadium Gulshan Ground and varied disciplines including basket ball, volley ball, football, hand ball, tug of war, boxing, wrestling, weight lifting, swimming, shooting, hockey and kabbadi.
Some field and track events including marathon, shot put, hammer throw, javelin throw, discuss throw, long jump, and high jump would be part of the tournaments, he added.
In all 2800 players and athletes representing various wings and units, including the officers would excel in the events, which also include badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis and shooting, he added.
The events would be played on knock out basis as per the rules laid down by All India Police Sports Control Board, he said.
