Media mogul Simon Cowell has reportedly leased a plane for his heavily pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman so that he can fly to New York quickly when she goes into labour.
The 54-year-old star, who is due to become a father this month, is said to have booked the plane to make his eight-hour journey as quickly as possible, reported Daily Mirror.
"Simon obviously wants to be there for Lauren and meet the baby as soon as he or she is born. The plane means Simon can get going with only an hour's notice and will be with Lauren in the shortest time possible.
"Obviously Lauren and the baby's well-being are Simon's number one priority and as soon as he has ensured everything is OK and spent some time with his first child, he will come back home. But he plans to shuttle between New York and London as often as possible to see them," a source said.
Lauren, 36, has chosen a hospital in her native New York for the delivery. The socialite announced in June that she was expecting a baby with the millionaire TV boss.
