Simplify formalities for new industries: House panel to J&K

The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly's Committee on Estimates today impressed upon the government to simplify the formalities for opening of industrial units in the state to attract and encourage young and local entrepreneurs.

The Committee on Estimates, which met here today under the chairmanship of Mustafa Kamal, also suggested that the government should create all required facilities at Industrial Estates, and provide industrialists pollution control devices free of cost.

The panel discussed overall functioning of the Industries Department and laid stress on launching an awareness campaign at the block level to educate the artisans.
