A body of village heads in Rajasthan today asked the state government to simplify process for developmental works in order to push development in Panchayats and raise other issues.

Sarpanch Sangh Rajasthan held a meeting of Sarpanchs in Mansarover area and raised their demands before meeting with Panchayat Raj Minister Surendra Goyal.

"The government has laid down certain rules which have made the process of developmental works much complicated. This has stalled development in villages and the government should take a positive decision," Bhanwar Lal Janu, state president of Sangh said.

They handed over a 24-point representation to the panchayat raj minister in this regard.

Janu said Goyal has assured the Sangh to look into their demands.
