The 'Fashion Star' mentor, who gave birth to her first child Maxwell Drew on May 1, has asked her long-time friend to play an important role in Maxwell's life as they both have shared so much together, reported Femalefirst.
"CaCee and Jessica have been through so much together and Jessica loves her so much, it only made sense that she would ask her to be godmother", said a source.
Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson, former NFL player are busy planning Maxwell's baptism now a days but can not decide to have it at their home in Beverly Hills or in Jessica's hometown.
