Riding on her historic bronze medal at the World Championships in China, Indian shuttler P V Sindhu today attained a new high as she broke into the top 10 for the first time in her career in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released today.
Sindhu jumped two places in the women's singles rankings to be placed at 10th with 55172 points.
The Hyderabadi, who is currently competing in the inaugural Indian Badminton League (IBL), has now joined the elite club of top shuttlers which also features her senior pro and London Olympics bronze medallist Saina Nehwal.

Olympic champion Li Xeurui kept her numero uno position.
In the men's singles, London Olympics quarter-finalist Parupalli Kashyap gained three places to be placed at 14th.
The next Indian on the list after Kashyap is R M V Gurusaidutt at the 20th position.
Mumbai's Ajay Jairam remained static at 24th position.
