Sinead O'Connor found safe after going missing

Irish singer Sinead O'Connor has been found unharmed after going missing for more than 24 hours.

"Sinead O'Connor has been located. She is safe and is no longer listed as a missing/endangered person," Wilmette police said.

Police in Wilmette, Illinois, received a request to check on the well-being of O'Connor after she failed to return from a bike ride more than a day later, according to a statement obtained by Us Weekly.

The troubled singer, 49, reportedly left for the outing near the Chicago suburb at 6 am on May 15, and had still not returned by 9:30 am the following day.
 

"The Wilmette Police is seeking to check the well-being of Sinead O'Connor. A caller has expressed concern for her well-being, and no other information is available at this time.
