Special Envoy of Singapore government Gopinath Pillai today called on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and discussed possible areas of bilateral cooperation like tourism and cyber security.
Pillai informed Naidu that they are currently exploring investment opportunities and also for financial institutions that will fund projects in Andhra Pradesh, according to an official release issued here.
Noting that the state is a hub of natural resources, the chief minister said, "We have found means to generate revenue through redsanders."

Seeking specific association on projects, Naidu said the state is adopting the proven Swiss Challenge method to throw open competition for projects among investors.
"We are aiming at sustainable double-digit growth this year. For this, we are going ahead with a focused-scientific approach," he added.
Noting that Singapore is currently paying attention towards cyber security, Pillai sought co-operation to work together in the area.
In this context, the chief minister informed the delegation that the government has incorporated technology into governance by creating digital repositories.
Highlighting the scope of tourism in the state, Naidu said Vijayawada, Vizianagaram and Tirupati have good picturesque locations which can turn into potential tourist hubs.
The proposed state capital Amaravathi is also home to strong Buddhist heritage, he said.
Pillai informed the chief minister that the National University of Singapore evinced interest in introducing some of its modules by working with Andhra University.
The state government and Government of Singapore have already signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the 'Ease of Doing Business'.
The Singapore government agencies are preparing the master plan for Andhra Pradesh capital coming up in the Vijayawada region.
