Sintex Industries Q2 net profit up 13.44% to Rs 165 cr

Plastic and textiles firm Sintex Industries today reported an increase of 13.44 per cent in consolidated net profit at Rs 164.91 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016.

The company had reported a net profit of Rs 145.37 crore in July-September quarter a year ago, Sintex Industries said in a BSE filing.

Total income from operations was up 15.04 per cent to Rs 2,287.64 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 1,988.43 crore for the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

Its overall expenses stood at Rs 1,970.56 crore, up 13.86 per cent compared to Rs 1,730.64 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
 

In the first half of 2016-17, the company's consolidated net profit was up 12.04 per cent to Rs 240.93 crore against Rs 215.03 crore in the year-ago period.

Total income in the first half of the current fiscal was up 15.75 per cent at Rs 3,988.17 crore as against Rs 3,445.30 crore in the same period last year.
