Sintex shares up 6% as bourses set to launch its F&O contracts

Shares of Sintex Industries surged 6 per cent today as BSE and NSE will introduce futures and options (F&O) contracts in the company from July 1.

The stock soared 5.99 per cent to settle at Rs 80.45 on BSE. Intra-day, it jumped 9.15 per cent to Rs 82.85.

At NSE, shares of the company rose by 5.85 per cent to close at Rs 80.40.

On the volume front, 18.07 lakh shares of the company were traded at BSE and over 87 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.

Leading stock exchanges BSE and NSE will introduce futures and options (F&O) contracts in NIIT Technologies and Sintex Industries from July 1.
 

In similar-worded circulars, the exchanges said that futures and options contracts on these two "securities would be available for trading with effect from July 1, 2016."

There are over 200 securities available in the F&O segment for trade.
